Eastern Scotland: Arbroath to Eyemouth

We left Arbroath on Saturday and crossed the Firth of Forth. The forecast was for variable winds. This proved correct in respect of both strength and direction. The sea state was pretty calm so we were able to take full advantage of the wind when it was favourable.
We arrived in Eyemouth on Saturday evening, and John creatively used a selection of things from the larder to make our evening meal.
A technical problem with our bow thruster is requiring the attention of the local marine engineers. A full account will follow. We hope to be ready to proceed on our journey very soon. Meanwhile we are looking forward to a reception and an evening of DIY entertainment in a local pub.

Sailing nicely across the Firth of Forth

John trimmed the sails so well he was able to let the tiller go fo forty minutes and keep us on course

We berthed in Eyemouth "The first port of call in Scotland" or in our case, the last
