Loch Melfort and Oban

We had a fantastic sail from Islay to Melfort, past Jura. We moored in Kames Bay. On Saturday we enjoyed a party ashore at the home of some Scottish gaffers organised by the East Coast contingent. A barbecue, pipers, party games, impromptu singing: all in a stunning location.

Crew member Simon left. On Sunday Anne and I had an interesting trip through Cuan Sound against the tide, before mooring by Easdale... a former slate quarry, where we had lunch before exploring the island.

Then a motor sail up Kerrera Sound to Oban, enjoying venison and five vegetables.
In Oban we met up with new crew, Pete.
